We were both trained and have taught at The Amherst School of Massage Therapy
(500 hours of techniques and A&P). The school offers basic massage training, which we have expanded on through numerous additional courses and hours of practice on each other. We took additional Shiatsu training with Xiaqiang Zhao, and a year long energywork course with Devita Birdwell through Temple Academies. We have Usui and Angelic Reiki training with Dr. Michael Verrilli and our Reiki Master with Nona Hatay and have studied the mind/body connection with Joseph F. Brescia. We have taken CranioSacral Therapy I and II through Upledger Institute, and Aromatherapy training with David Crow of Floracopia. We have studied personal growth work with Jessie Ayani and we are always continuing to learn.

Joe has worked at just about every job possible before being able to live his dream as a Massage Therapist. His experience as a certified nurses assistant brings him awareness of people's different situations and how he can best help them. His years of manual labor in various jobs has made him very strong and dexterous with his hands (If you have come to us you probably already know this!) Joe also has passion for learning and growing. He devours spiritual books and channeled information, and is able to process it in a way that changes his life and gives him something to offer those clients that may benefit from his knowledge. Joe just completed his first life coach training and is now studying with the Psychosynthesis Center to offer more counseling and dialogue work for his clients |
| Charity graduated from Smith College with her B.S. in psychology before beginning three years of travel. She led sea kayaking trips in Baja, Mexico, studied natural health from a Mayan woman in San Cristobal de las Casas, and helped establish a rainforest preserve in Costa Rica. She also worked as an au pair and volunteered at an orphanage in Morocco. Although immensely happy with her adventures she was ready to return to the US to help people at home. She found massage and fell in love with the work. You can feel her natural healing touch and loving presence as she works from her heart. Charity is currently studying Transformation Kinesiology. |

Isabella Gitana - Licensed Massage Therapist:
 |
Isabella started out working as coordinator for a kidney transplant clinic at a teaching hospital in CT. While there, she searched endlessly for pain management for her low back pain. After many doctors suggested surgery, she found relief in alternative healing. That sparked a passion in her and she decided to pursue that passion as a massage therapist. She attended the 500 hour program at The Massage School in Easthampton where she graduated in April 2007. Since then, she has taken numerous continuing education courses such as Reiki level I and II, medical massage courses, reflexology and aromatherapy to name a few. She will be continuing her education with courses in Trauma Touch Therapy and an herbal apprenticeship under renowned herbalist Margi Flint who founded EarthSong Herbals. |
Rachel S. Condon, Licensed Acupuncturist
Rachel's interest in healing and medicine began many years ago during her undergraduate studies at Northeastern University, where she graduated with honors with a B.S. in Behavioral Neuroscience and a minor in Philosophy. Towards the end of her pre-med/research program, she found herself searching for alternative approaches to healing and views on health and disease, and decided against pursuing a Western medical degree. Just out of college, she landed a job at Redwing Book Company, which specializes in publishing acupuncture books, and there began her exploration of Chinese medicine.
The years since then have encompassed a wide path of exploration, including Zen and Vipassana Buddhism, cooperative living, catering, organic farming, hiking and biking, volunteer work, social work, and community activism -- many twists and turns of pursuing her passions, which have created a rich and diverse healing path.
Rachel graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture in Watertown, MA (the oldest acupuncture school in the U.S.), with a Master's Degree in Acupuncture, specializing in both Japanese and Chinese Acupuncture. Rachel's additional internships with a Japanese master have deepened her practice, and her style is powerful yet gentle, bringing a refreshing, dynamic approach to each treatment. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings, in women's health clinics, low-income clinics, HIV clinics, and hospitals.
In addition to her practice with Indigo Massage, Rachel also practices in Northampton at Northampton Community Acupuncture. She is committed to working in community-style settings, part of a growing movement in the acupuncture field in the U.S., as a way to make this ancient medical system more accessible and affordable in our communities.
